Alkaline diet - the green in the keto-green diet

Why basic nutrition is so good and important if we want to regulate our hormones naturally

As you may have already discovered on this page, I am a big fan of the Keto-green diet. Because this diet regulates our (sexual) hormones in a natural way and brings them back into balance.

In this case, green means: Basic - an alkaline diet. This means that mainly alkaline vegetables are on our plates. This lowers the acidity in our body and also has other health benefits. But more on that later.

Studies have shown that our ancestors' diets before the agricultural era were 87% alkaline. This way of eating is therefore more of a "back-to-the-roots" than a modern phenomenon.

About the PH value in the body:

We measure the pH on a scale from 0-14. O means acid and 14 means base. 7 describes a neutral value. Our body works with a lot of energy to ensure that the pH of our blood is around 7.4. It can vary from 7.35 - 7.45. But not anymore. That is vital. Other values ​​would be life threatening.

Most of the cells in our body work best when they are in an alkaline mood. And there are scientists who claim that cancer cannot develop in an alkaline environment.

The pH of our urine on the other hand, it is very fluctuating and can give us information on what is going on at our cellular and hormonal levels.

That is why we also measure our PH value during the Detox program.

Diet & Lifestyle

The extent to which we get into an alkaline state is not only influenced by food - i.e. an alkaline diet. The diet is basic, but makes up about 25-50%. The other 50-75% are influenced by lifestyle factors. Factors like:

  • The level of hydration of the body
  • How much sleep you have
  • How much movement you have
  • How much and what kind of sporting activity you do
  • How our mind set is (positive or stressed)
  • How is the digestion
  • And how much you are in nature (sunlight, fresh air, barefoot on earth, ...)

The advantages of becoming basic:

  • Our bones become healthier and stronger
  • The heart and its function are supported
  • Fat burning is boosted
  • It maintains the muscle mass and the "youthfulness" of the body
  • It reduces pain
  • It improves the body's natural detoxification

Eating is information

Eating is information and always has an effect on our body. We can largely determine which ones. And we can also trigger certain reactions. Whether consciously or unconsciously, that is of course up to us. I personally am absolutely fascinated by the possibilities we have here to be healthier and to optimally support our body.
